Yard Work
The only thing I get really apathetic about in home ownership is the amount of work it takes to keep the outside looking acceptable. Last weekend I was supposed to do a lot of yard work but I ended up being so worn out from two weeks of state testing that I couldn’t.
Too Busy
Plus I saw Endgame, finished Kingdom Hearts 3 and watched the Battle of Winterfell so it was an emotionally draining weekend. I should have done more on Sunday in preparation for the week but I am really tired from the battle of the end of the school year so had no energy.
Someone Has to do Yard Work
But yard work has to get done and there’s no one else to do it. I need to cut the grass big time, in both the front and the back, put deer netting over my flowerbed if I want them to survive the deer salad buffet, trim hedges, and figure out a way to get the branches from the thorn bush my parents cut down two weeks ago somewhere else without shredding my arms in the process. And I need to pour boiling water on the stump to make sure it’s not coming back. I also need to tie a rope up so my vining plant can have somewhere to climb. All of this sounds like a full weekend of work and I simply don’t have the energy!
