Construction is Stressful
My workplace is under construction and it’s a bit stressful. That is likely an understatement. The project just started when we returned from winter holidays and we are still working out the details of how to successfully move 250 students from the learning cottages (aka trailers) to the bus loading area without it taking more than 15 minutes after dismissal time. Two more years of this too, it’s going to take a long time. Middle school students are likely to freak out at small changes, and we are expecting them to go with the flow of MAJOR construction going on during school hours. My room is scheduled to be renovated during the summer so at least I don’t have to move to a trailer for a semester but I am still tense because everything is different. Humans are such creatures of habit.
